Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Personal data (hereinafter generally referred to as "data") is processed by us only to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its content and the services offered there.
Pursuant to Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"), "processing" refers to any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we alone or jointly with others decide on the purposes and means of such processing. We also inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimization purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as third parties thereby process data on their own responsibility.
Our privacy policy is structured as follows:
I. Information about us as the controller
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing
I. Information about us as the controller
The controller responsible for this website within the meaning of data protection law is:
II. Rights of users and data subjects
With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right
to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the data processed, further information about the data processing, and copies of the data (cf. also Art. 15 GDPR);
to rectification or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR);
to the immediate erasure of data concerning them (cf. also Art. 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary pursuant to Art. 17 (3) GDPR, to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR;
to receive data concerning them, which they have provided to us, and to have this data transmitted to other providers/controllers (cf. also Art. 20 GDPR);
to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the provider in violation of data protection law (cf. also Art. 77 GDPR).
In addition, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any correction or deletion of data or restriction of processing carried out pursuant to Articles 16, 17 (1), 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding this, the user has a right to be informed of these recipients.
Furthermore, pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the future processing of data concerning them, insofar as the data is processed by the provider pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing is permissible.
III. Information on data processing
Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the data does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations and no other provisions are made below regarding individual processing procedures.
Contact requests / ways to contact us
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing this data is necessary to process and answer your request — without providing it, we cannot answer your request or can only answer it to a limited extent.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.
Your data will be deleted once your request has been conclusively answered, provided that deletion does not conflict with statutory retention obligations, such as in the case of any subsequent contract processing.
Server data
For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted to us or our web space provider by your internet browser. This so-called server log file data includes, among other things, the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our online presence that you visit, the date and time of the respective access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used.
This data collected in this way is temporarily stored, but not together with any other data of yours.
This storage takes place on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the stability, functionality and security of our website.
The data is deleted after seven days at the latest, unless further storage is required for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data is wholly or partially exempt from deletion until the incident in question has been finally clarified.
FontAwesome
In order to display fonts and visual elements of our website, we use external fonts from FontAwesome. FontAwesome is a service provided by Fonticons Inc., 6 Porter Road, Apartment 3R, Cambridge, MA 02140, USA, hereinafter referred to as "FontAwesome".
When you access our website, a connection is established to FontAwesome's server in the USA in order to enable and update the display of fonts and visual elements.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimization and economical operation of our website.
By establishing a connection to FontAwesome's server when accessing our website, FontAwesome can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the font should be delivered.
FontAwesome provides further information, in particular on options for preventing the use of data, at https://fontawesome.com/privacy.
Google Fonts
We use Google Fonts on our website to display external fonts. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".
In order to enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection is established to Google's server in the USA when our website is accessed.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimization and economical operation of our website.
By establishing a connection to Google when accessing our website, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the font should be delivered.
Google provides further information, in particular on options for preventing the use of data, at https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
jQuery CDN
To optimize loading speed and the design and presentation of the content of our website across different devices, we use the jQuery CDN service, a Content Delivery Network ("CDN"). This is a service provided by the jQuery Foundation. jQuery is distributed for the JS Foundation via the StackPath CDN.
To deliver the content of our website quickly, the service relies on so-called JavaScript libraries. The relevant files are loaded from the CDN server, unless they are already present in your browser cache from a visit to another website. When connecting to the CDN server, your IP address is recorded. It cannot be ruled out that a connection is made to a server outside the EU.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in accelerating the loading times of our website and in its optimization.
To prevent the execution of jQuery's JavaScript code entirely, you can install a so-called JavaScript blocker, such as noscript.net or ghostery.com. If you prevent or restrict the execution of JavaScript code, this may, for technical reasons, mean that not all content and functions of our website are available.
